How many years have I been in Ben Boot Camp where the motto is: be thoughtful about your spending? I think I am finally there--it only took 11 years!! This dresser was built by my great great great grandpa and after a new paint job, nobs, and some light sanding it looks just as good as the $900 one I had picked out from Land of Nod! I am quite proud of myself because it has the look I am going for in Henry's room and it is a family piece! I think I will tackle his bed next. I am just wondering should I do red or the same blue?

Very nice!! Ben should be proud! That makes me want to hit garage sales and find one for Wyatt and fix it up. Well, ok maybe not, but almost.
Maggie - I love it! I wish I could come across such a cute (and meaningful) piece of furniture to refinish.
Totally unrelated & I'm being lazy by not commenting on the post of Henry swimming, but what a great little swimmer! He's obviously learning from the best swim instructor ever :-) Tracy
