super scientist

For a whole week Henry has been KA's Super Star. This role comes with so many privileges---1) the opportunity to make and share a Super Star poster 2) you get to be line leader all week and 3) you get to be the Super Scientist. Now the first two privileges are pretty self explanatory it's the third that will need more explanation.

The Super Scientist, with a parent of course, gets to design and perform a science experiment in front of the class--so cool when you are in kindergarten. Ben and Henry planned all weekend, practiced all week and then performed the experiment together.

Here's how it went down (pretend you are in kindergarten) How strong do you think an egg is? Well, I will show you (you don't have to pretend to be a kindergartner any more).

17lbs later it finally collapsed, impressing all of the 5 years olds . The lesson ended with an explanation on why eggs are so strong and how architects use the same design to build structures, even today.

Whoa.
