Please No Judgements!

Before we had a baby we would talk about all of the things we would never do. . . no pacifiers, no sleeping in our bed, no sugar cereal, no processed food, and of course no schedule because our child would fit into our lives, no TV(especially not in the car), no daycare, no fast food, no swords, no gun noises, and lastly no video games.

Guess we were a little too idealistic or just stupid! Yesterday Ben broke our last rule by introducing Henry to the wonderful world of video games--now before you judge, it was only Mario Kart. Now that I am thinking about it go ahead and judge because someday it will happen to you, if it hasn't already!

It's all over. I can see "the look" in Henry's eyes. However, you will always be comforted that at 10:00 PM you will know where your son is - in front of the TV with controller in hand. Brings back memories....

I think we all should have a list of the things we said we would never do as a parent, but we now do with heads high! Our list is very similar to yours. At the top right now is having a little babysitter called the TV. So no judgment here!
